Left-Facing Roof

Because Dylann Roof was decidedly leftist in his thinking (manifesto here), he is being blamed upon conservatives. Leftists, following Marx and explicitly advocated by Marxist “critical theory,” view everything in terms of race. They are so far lost in this mindset that they strongly believe, against all evidence, that Constitutional conservatives are racist by nature. Roof, echoing Marx, advocated viewing everything though the “lense” [sic] of race. But this will never do, so he is a “conservative” in countless articles. But is he?

Conservatives are generally highly patriotic, revering the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the American flag. Roof hated America, and featured himself in photos burning the American flag, just as leftists today are making the hashtags “#burntheflag” and #takedownbothflags popular as they advocate burning both the US and Conferderate flag as equally “evil” in their views. Since the Left quite visibly joins Roof in his America-hatred, this must be sidestepped: Roof is thus a “conservative” when he wrote:

I hate the sight of the American flag. Modern American patriotism is an absolute joke.

Constitutional conservatives have a strong respect for those who serve in the military. Roof disdained such respect, wondering what these volunteer warriors were really protecting:

Many veterans believe we owe them something for “protecting our way of life” or “protecting our freedom”. But im not sure what way of life they are talking about.

And Roof joins with all of leftist academia in blaming white superiority on the history lessons taught in school:

Modern history classes instill a subconscious White superiority complex in Whites and an inferiority complex in blacks. This White superiority complex that comes from learning of how we dominated other peoples is also part of the problem I have just mentioned.

The American right, as a group, is deeply supportive of Israel, and doesn’t share in the Jew-hate espoused by leftists such as Sharpton, Farrakhan, the “occupy wall street” people, academia, Students for Justice in Palestine, and on and on. The American left is the home of Israel hatred, the founders of the Israel boycott movement (even supported by leftist Jews) and the supporters of jihadists around the world — in part because of their shared disgust with America. What about Roof; is he a big Israel supporter? No, he’s there with the Left in his Jew-hatred:

I think that if we could somehow destroy the jewish identity, then they wouldnt cause much of a problem.

He is annoyed that “most jews look White.”

As an aside, the Left needs to use Roof to push a gun rights attack. So the initial (and shortly proven false) rumor that he had been given a gun by his father is still what is being touted days later, rather than admitting that Roof purchased the gun going through the full background check process, as was noted by local authorities. Since they want “universal background checks” and universal gun registration, so that guns can be collected at some future point, they must insist that this gun bypassed background checks.

Roof is one instance of many white male right-wing mass killers, according to the Left. The fact that these cretins are almost always leftists (as evidenced by their writings), and often of a minority (Navy Yard shooter, Beltway snipers, Ft. Hood, Virginia Tech, 9/11, Boston bomber, WTC attack of 1993, et cetera), doesn’t matter.

This person committed a horrific atrocity, and the Left uses this as a cudgel against all of America and its culture. And what makes Roof so newsworthy is added to by the fact that what he did is so rare. But no action of any number of thousands of any other group, from blacks to Hispanics to jihadists to anarchists to whatever, must ever be used to “tarnish the image” of their respective groups. Salon evidences this dichotomy perfectly, as noted by American Thinker:
Salon hypocrisy

P.S. The blogger SooperMexican noted more leftist aspects to Roof’s writings here.
